Hello to Summer, Fireflies, Fresh wardrobe updates, and Hilma fans.

I’ve been churning in new ideas as the seasons shift again, new ways of being, of making, of sharing my work with the world. All swirling around, informing each other, shifting to make space, reshaping patterns.

I had the opportunity to make work for the Wilma Theaters production of Hilma, a contemporary opera. If you are unfamiliar with Hilma Af Klint, I highly recommend diving in. She was an early abstract spiritualist whose work communicated with the energy of the universe, truly before her time and powerful work to interpret today.

The garments I created are for sale now at auction! A portion of the proceeds benefit the theater and we all know how much Philly arts need some extra care right now.

This waxed denim jacket features a master copy of Hilma Af Klint Swans no.1 that expand over the form, enveloping the wearer inside of their explosive connection.

Open Channel is an oversized linen dress boldly adorned in the biometric, spiritualist geometries of Klint’s large scale works.

Just dropped over 40 new garments to the shop. It’s live now so subscribers get early access! Lots of dyed dresses, new hand painted, shorts, and under $60 shirts. I’m going into my summer season of teaching summer camps so shows will be sporadic until the fall.

I’ve been getting back to my film photography habit and the results are so rewarding. Ash is wearing this beautiful indigo blue linen shift, hand painted with abstract florals around the body.

There really is something so special about documenting this slow process with another. Film demands patience, second checks, and a bit of hope that it all turns out. The same feeling is echoed every time I put the first marks on a garment as I start painting. Being able to trust that some where between my hand and my brain, magic happens that is out of my control and all part of the process.

I’ll be posting some of the Under $60 garments on my instagram story at 6pm. Put a handful of older garments on sale too! If you are local there is always the opportunity to schedule a fit appointment with your favorites. I curate a rack in your size range, and make recommendations based on how you want to style these one of a kind pieces. The sheer amount of pants and shorts I have is a little humbling so most are on sale.
