December: Clearing || Farewell
Shifting || Selling || Send off
All of a sudden, it’s my final few weeks in Philadelphia.
If you missed my last announcement, I’m relocating my life and my business to the Hudson valley! I’ve grown Touch Threads here over the past 8 years, from small side hustle to fulfilling art practice and sustainable brand. I’m so thankful for the time I spent creating in this community and am excited to open into this new chapter. If you want to say farewell there will be a few great chances in early December.
This upcoming weekend I’ll be at back to back shows! I have lots of handmade and up-cycled clothing for all bodies, hand dyed socks for gifting, misc patches and scarves. Really everything I’ve been stashing for the last two years is coming out for sale.
Saturday December 7th at Germantown Kitchen Garden - 10-4pm - 215 E Penn St. -
Sunday December 8th at Trans Art Market - 11-5pm - BOK - West Gym. -
And lastly….

Take My Place at Firehouse Arts!
From Ruby, my friend, master pattern-maker and studio mate.
“I am currently seeking another artist to take over their half of the lease starting January 1.”
“I enjoy having a “coworker” and I already know that I will only be using the space 3-4 days per week since I’m now teaching part-time at Jefferson. If there is an ideal candidate out there who needs a studio space outside of their home, and is open to sharing a space with another person, I’d love to meet you! Fill out my interest form below. The rent is reasonable, the building facilities are lovely, and it’s a friendly community of talented artists in the building.”
I can attest this has been a fantastic studio space and Ruby is a very kind, considerate studio mate. Please share around with any artists, writers, or minimal mess creatives in the area.
My first Hudson valley show was this past weekend. It was such a treat to be at Basilica Hudson and to have met wonderful new businesses and clients. I’m so excited to be joining such a vibrant community and ground myself in the mountains.
Here’s a few favorites that found homes and the spectrum of bamboo socks! I’m dreaming into the next season of my brand and know it will include many more linen tapestries like this chartreuse oak.
Okay that’s all for now. I hope to see many of you at the events and studio sale, and for those not local I’ll be knocking down prices on the website early next week.
Hope you stay warm and well this season,
Moth, Touch Threads
